Robert Freedman

Robert Freedman is lead editor of Facilities Dive. He focuses on maintenance, soft operations, regulatory compliance, data centers, drones, security, refrigerants and water management, among other issues. He’s a 35-year veteran business reporter and editor and a past president of the American Society of Business Publication Editors and the ASBPE Educational Foundation. He’s the editor of two books on business journalism — Best Practices of the Business Press (Kendall-Hunt, 2004) and Journalism That Matters (Marion Press, 2006) — and the author or editor of four other books, including Broker to Broker: Management Lessons From America's Most Successful Real Estate Companies (John A. Wylie & Sons, 2005). He has an MA in humanities from Marymount University and is the recipient of more than two dozen awards for his journalism from ASBPE, Association Media & Publishing, Parenting Media Association and the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, among other organizations.
