Dive Insight:
Astra Service Partners is one of four businesses Orion is building, along with Leo Facilities Maintenance, Helios Service Partners and SunWorks Landscape Partners, Orion Group co-CEO Isaiah Brown said. To that end, Orion Group is investing in regional and national facility service providers that serve multi-site customers across various sectors — including industrials — as part of its strategy to be a “single-solution provider” for customers and “bring a solution-centric mindset to solve our customer’s pain points,” Brown said.
Most recently, Leo Facilities Maintenance, which provides HVAC, plumbing, electrical and other services to multi-site commercial customers, joined forces with New Jersey-based RSM Facility Solutions to expand its footprint across North America. The partnership is Leo FM’s tenth investment in the facilities maintenance industry, Orion Group said in July.
PDM Group provides HVAC maintenance, installation and emergency repair services to commercial and industrial facilities throughout the East Coast, according to Wednesday’s news release.
G.E. Mechanical, a part of Astra Service Partner’s network, is a Vineland, New Jersey-based full-service mechanical contractor that provides HVAC, refrigeration and plumbing services to building owners, contractors, commercial enterprises and property maintenance companies, according to its website. Along with G.E. Mechanical, other companies in Astra’s network include Pennsylvania-based HVAC firm Marc Service Inc. and The Tustin Group, an integrated building services firm which has a presence in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C, Astra says.
PDM’s partnership with Astra’s G.E Mechanical will bring “unlimited opportunities for sales and growth,” PDM Group Sales Director Dennis Mundy said in a statement.
PDM, which has had a goal of expanding its customer base and geographic reach, will be able to tap into this partnership to provide additional services to its customers,” John Richard, vice president of finance at PDM Group, said in a statement.
Cain said G.E. Mechanical’s expanded footprint, combined with the knowledge of PDM’s senior technicians can create a plethora of opportunities for providing high-quality services to “all of our customers.”
Verticals that PDM’s customers operate in include commercial office buildings, data centers, healthcare facilities, and schools and universities, according to the company’s website.
