Facilities managers can see the range of ways tech companies are using AI to help them do their work in a handful of products released in the last month.
Asset maintenance
Property solutions company Lessen launched Aiden, a maintenance lifecycle product suite that leverages AI to improve intake, communications and proposals, work verification and invoicing.
The suite includes a multilingual self-service assistant that can reduce unnecessary work orders and assist with invoices and compliance checks to improve accuracy, accelerate approvals and speed up vendor payments, the company said in an Oct. 1 release.
Early adopters reported 20% faster quote approvals, over 95% asset data accuracy and an 85% reduction in routine follow-ups, Lessen said. They were also able to process work orders and invoices at twice the previous speed, resulting in less administrative drag and happier customers, according to the release.
HVAC servicing
To help building managers connect HVAC asset records in a way that can inform day-to-day maintenance and long-term capital planning, Brightly Software, a Siemens company, on Tuesday launched improvements to its Asset Essentials solution through a partnership with data intelligence company XOi.
Using XOi’s optical character recognition technology, HVAC units captured within the Asset Essentials software can be scanned to capture and import more than 100 data points, including wiring diagrams and parts specifications. Information from the HVAC units’ service bulletins and user manuals can also be captured. The software structures and stores the information, “creating a comprehensive digital record of each HVAC asset’s history and condition that empowers facility teams with up-to-the-minute, precise and complete asset data,” Brightly Software said in a release.
“Facility leaders are under tremendous pressure to do more with less while ensuring uptime and compliance,” Aaron Salow, founder and CEO of XOi, said in a statement. “Our partnership with Brightly ensures they have a complete, real-time view of their equipment.”
Tenant management
New technology is also taking aim at the ways commercial real estate owners and operators manage tenant relationships. HqO, a real estate experience platform, on Tuesday announced the launch of its “CRM for CRE,” a system for landlords to improve tenant lifecycle management, communication and operations.
By consolidating tenant data, automating workflow and delivering insights, the system helps to drive performance and loyalty at scale, HqO said in a release. Key capabilities include centralized profiles, real-time analytics, multi-channel communication and integrated access, visitor, resource booking and service request tools.
Powered by the company’s structured CRE data model Digital Grid and AI-powered intelligence engine Quantum Core, the platform also provides a flexible monetization engine that HqO says can help commercial real estate operations enable cross-site amenity purchases, credit systems and new revenue streams.
These enhancements are intended to help align daily operations with measurable tenant outcomes, with data, automation and intelligence helping facility managers move from reactive service delivery to proactive relationship management, per the release.
