Hilton opened a hotel in Arlington, Virginia, that it says ushers in “a new evolution of hospitality” for the company’s flagship brand, Hilton Hotels & Resorts.
Overlooking the Potomac River, Hilton Arlington Rosslyn The Key is the first hotel to offer the brand’s refreshed identity, including “enhanced design and reimagined service touchpoints,” Hilton announced Tuesday.
The hotel’s 331 guest rooms are “designed to balance bold architectural elements with organic touches,” and evoke relaxation and a feeling of home, the company detailed.
Additionally, the property has 28,000 square feet of meeting and event space, including nine meeting rooms and The View at the Key, a top-floor venue with 360-degree views of the Potomac River, Arlington’s skyline and Washington, D.C.
Amenities include a dedicated catering and events team, a fitness center and street-level retail outlets, including a coffee shop. The hotel is also home to American restaurant Locket, which offers private dining spaces.
Hilton Arlington Rosslyn The Key “represents a renewed vision for Hilton Hotels & Resorts” that “embraces the evolving needs of today’s traveler,” Leonard Gooz, brand leader for Hilton Hotels & Resorts, said in a statement.
The hotel is part of a mixed-use development by locally based Dittmar Company designed to offer a “compelling new experience for residents, travelers, and locals alike,” according to Dittmar executive Greg Raines.
The opening comes as Hilton expands its portfolio of brands. Hilton added 26,100 rooms to its system in the second quarter, increasing its system size 7.5% year over year.
Last month, Hilton opened the first property under its LivSmart Studios brand in Tullahoma, Tennessee.
